An illustrated field guide for everyday change

Illustrated portrait of Yi Feng, an older man with a white beard in a navy robe, smiling gently.

Meet Yi Feng

Yi Feng is a fictional AI guide created for this program.

He is a warm, unhurried narrator who introduces each lesson. He is not a real teacher, monk, clinician, or certified practitioner, and his welcome and closing lines are original narration written for this course — not quotations from any historical person.

Tradition and practical adaptation

The program draws inspiration from feng shui's attention to people and their surroundings. Each lesson labels its starting point as either a traditional idea or a modern metaphor, and then gives this course's own practical interpretation. Several lessons — on routines, communication, and reflection — are contemporary exercises, and are labeled that way rather than presented as ancient teachings.

This is feng shui-inspired everyday education. It is not certification in any feng shui school, and it is not therapy, medical care, or fortune telling.

Before you begin

In this program, we use qi as a traditional image for how your space and routines feel and function. Turning the tide means making useful changes within your control. You do not need special objects or a perfect home. These practices do not promise luck, health, sleep, or any particular feeling. Your hardship is not your fault. Try the version that fits your circumstances and keep what proves useful.

Use what you already own. Keep medical necessities and accessibility equipment where you need them. Leave heavy moves, electrical work, and unsafe repairs to appropriate help. You may practice seated, adapt to a shared room, use the smaller version, or choose a different exercise. You may rehearse silently, write the words, sign, or use your usual communication aid; each counts equally. Completion means trying a practice, not achieving a particular mood.
